iPhone Dev Team releases the free GUI Unlock Software Tool

iPhone Dev Team releases the free GUI Unlock Software Tool

intomobile.com reported on the latest GUI unlock for iphones. This is just fantastic. iPhones want to be free!!!

Now we need someone to document and share how we can tap into our respective local EDGE networks to get the mobile data applications going when we're out of wifi range!

posting from iPhone

This is the first attempt at blogging on this Lilliputian device, fun fun fun!

iPhone on 3 GSM in Hong Kong!

It's real, it's done. iPhone running on 3 GSM in Hong Kong. No turbosim or other hardware fix...just a software unlock solution.

My cousin just bought and sent me an 8gb iPhone (post $200 usd price cut of course, thank you your Steve-ness). Package arrived, and I spent some time following the most awesome tutorial built around iUnlock, a freeware developed by the "Dev Team".

It was relatively painless and I can only say this little machine that could, CAN.

Some drawbacks:

-Youtube doesn't work.
-I have an issue accessing the sync'd contacts on the iPhone
-exploring ways to get data running on my 3 2G network

Everything else is great.

If you've got it running or are interested in making it happen, I'd love to hear from you here!
